Prof. Marjana Vaneva, PhD, Dean of the UACS School of Foreign Languages and Ms. Jovanka Jovancevska-Milenkoska, MA, an English language instructor at UACS attended a <em>Standardising Assessment in Universities<\/em> training at the British Council, Skopje.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the training was to make the universities in Macedonia work together towards setting the starting points in standardizing the assessment and raising the level of students\u2019 knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>This week-long workshop was attended by representatives from all English language university departments in Macedonia, who teach Modern English language.<br \/>\nThe professors\u2019 joint work has produced two documents: <em>A Writing Samples Booklet <\/em>and<em> An ETP (English for Teaching Purposes) Scales Booklet<\/em>, whose use will prospectively level up the English language knowledge of the graduates in Macedonia.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was held by the consultant Mr. Richard West from the University of Manchester, and was in full compliance with the levels from the <em>Common European Framework of Languages<\/em> (CEFR).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the period between 28 November 2016 and 2 December 2016, Assoc.
