On April 2nd, everybody at the University American College Skopje had the opportunity to experience the emotional and interactive theatrical performance “Every Brilliant Thing<\/em>“. This monodrama, performed by the renowned Macedonian actor Igor Angelov, directed by Dejan Projkovski, and produced by OHO, brought to light the themes of mental health, hope, and the small things that give life meaning.<\/p>\n

Inspired by Duncan Macmillan\u2019s Every Brilliant Thing<\/em>, the play immersed the audience in a deeply touching story\u2014about growing up in a family facing life\u2019s challenges, the importance of close relationships, and how love and support can bring light to even the darkest moments.<\/p>\n

What made this performance particularly special was its interactivity\u2014students and professors actively participated in the storytelling, stepping into the roles of the father, fianc\u00e9e, professor, psychotherapist, and child. This dynamic engagement between the actor and the audience intensified the play’s emotional impact, making it an even more profound experience for everyone present.<\/p>\n

Every Brilliant Thing<\/em> is more than just a theatrical piece\u2014it is a reminder that we all face difficult moments, but the small things in life keep us going. As the play says, “If you\u2019ve never felt like life has no meaning, then you\u2019ve been living with your eyes closed.”<\/em><\/p>\n

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Igor Angelov, Dejan Projkovski, and OHO Production for bringing this extraordinary performance to UACS. Thank you for reminding us of the power of storytelling and the importance of addressing mental health with empathy and understanding.<\/p>\n
