The UACS professors: Marjan I. Bojadjiev, PhD, from the School of Business Economics and Management, and Marjana Vaneva, PhD, from the School of Foreign Languages, have recently published their newest joint research titled: The Impact of COVID-19 Crisis on a Company\u2019s Internal Communication.<\/p>\n

The paper has been published in Interdisciplinary Description of Complex Systems 19(2), 2021 (a Web-of- Science indexed journal), and can be accessed on the following link: https:\/\/hrcak.srce.hr\/259627<\/a>. It investigates whether the COVID-19 crisis has had an impact on the company\u2019s internal communication \u2013 both from leader\u2019s and organization member\u2019s perspective, by comparing the leaders\u2019 perceptions of
\ntheir leadership and communication style on one hand, with the organization members\u2019 perceptions of the communication model they use with same-level colleagues and the descriptions of their leaders\u2019 philosophy on the other hand. The analysis showed what both groups stated \u2013 after the pandemic outbreak face to face meetings were replaced by virtual communication, shorter meetings became more common, leaders were involved by giving feedback, and they led by logos, with the most welcomed difference being in the leadership model: leaders maintained that their leading was by example in both periods, while organization members claimed that after the start of the crisis their leaders\u2019 priority was work-life balance.<\/p>\n
