The guest lecture\u2019s topic was \u201cYoung Europeans and young Macedonians: emerging ideas about identities and the potential for deliberative discussion in the classroom\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17839\" src=\"https:\/\/uacs.edu.mk\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/payment.uacs.edu.mk\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/payment.uacs.edu.mk\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/payment.uacs.edu.mk\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/payment.uacs.edu.mk\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/payment.uacs.edu.mk\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3-255x143.jpg 255w, https:\/\/payment.uacs.edu.mk\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/3-600x337.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Professor Alistair was a Faculty Research Director in Humanities and Education from 1992-98, who established and directed a European Commission Academic Network (Children\u2019s Identity and Citizenship in Europe, CiCe) from 1998-2008. Now he is largely supervising research students and currently coordinating the Area Studies submission to the UK Research Assessment Exercise (2021). He is a member of the Political Studies Association, the British Educational Research Association, the Children\u2019s Identity and Citizenship in Europe Association, and the East European Network of Citizenship Educators.
