Prof. Zlat Milovanovic, PhD, Professor Honoris Causa and\nformer Vice Rector of University American College Skopje (UACS) passed away on\nMarch 26, 2020, in the U.S.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zlat Milovanovic held a PhD in International\nRelations from Temple University, an MA in European Studies and a Doctorate in\nPublic Law and Political Science from the University of Nancy. Since 2007, he\ntaught undergraduate and graduate courses in international and European law,\ncomparative politics, and EU integration at the UACS School of Political\nScience, as well as Business Ethics at the UACS School of Business Economics\nand Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zlat Milovanovic served as UACS Vice Rector for\nInternational Relations and Development between 2007 and 2012. As a member of\nthe University Senate, Rector\u2019s Board, Faculty Council of the School of\nPolitical Science and other bodies, he championed the internationalization of\nour University and assisted in increased cooperation with universities in\nseveral parts of the world. He was also a member of teams that worked on the\ninternational accreditations of UACS, including the American accreditation by\nACBSP. He served as member of the program committee of the UACS annual\ninternational conference for 15 years. He was the initiator of our University\u2019s\nmotto: Ad destinatum persequor!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n On August 22, 2012, the UACS Senate bestowed upon\nZlat Milovanovic the title professor\nhonoris causa<\/em> for his exceptional contribution to the development of the\nUniversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prof. Zlat Milovanovic was a\ndedicated friend of Macedonia: a U.S. citizen, and a Macedonian at heart. His\ncolleagues as well as students hold in high esteem his intellectual wit, sense\nof humor, and proverbial kindness. Above all, he shall be remembered for his\nlifelong commitment to international law and friendship among all people.
