Global situation <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 The number of cases and fatalities in China from the corona virus have risen to over 1300. There is only one fatality outside of China so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 There are no cases reported in our country and neighboring countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 The virus seems to be spreading easily and sustainably, with an incubation period of anywhere between 0 and 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 The current fatality ratio for this particular virus strain is as high as the one caused by the influenza virus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 There is a great concern about the spread of Covid-19 to regions of northern Italy. The\u00a0CDC\u00a0<\/a>has put Italy at Watch Level 1.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n Local advice<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 UACS has implemented the necessary precautions, having considered that there are no reported cases in our country or neighboring countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue that must be thrown into a closed bin immediately after use. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water, especially after sneezing or coughing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Avoid hand shake greetings and keep a safe distance from other people of 1.5m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 The\u00a0Macedonian Ministry of Health\u00a0<\/a>today has advised against travel to northern Italy, and has instituted thermal checks at all airports.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 If you exhibit any flu-like symptoms, please remain at home until at least 24h after symptoms disappear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Travel warning <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Non-essential travel to China is being advised against by the World Health Organization<\/a> and the Centre for Disease Control.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 If you or your family have traveled to China, stay at home upon your return for a period of 14 days as a precaution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 If you or your family have traveled to Lombardy or Veneto regions of Italy, stay at home upon your return for a period of 14 days as a precaution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Relevant information <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 During these types of situations, please remain calm. Stay positive and cautiously optimistic, especially when dealing with children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Be wary of false news and stick to the facts of the situation. In times like these people are especially prone to spreading paranoia and share panic.
