UACS faculty member Ass. Professor in Health Psychology and Counseling Dimitrinka Jordanova Peshevska, PhD, participated at the 13th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion 2018 – \u201cAdvancing injury and violence prevention towards Sustainable Development Goals\u201d. She has presented research paper titled: \u201cRisk Factors Predicting Dating Violence Victimization in Students from Middle and Late Adolescence\u201d,<\/em> and poster presentation titled: \u201cAbuse and neglect in childhood associated with individual, relational, and contextual factors among adolescents\u201d. <\/em>Both abstracts have been published at the British Medical\u00a0Journal – Injury Prevention supplement.<\/p>\n

The Conference took place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 5-7 November 2018 hosted by Thailand\u2019s Ministry of Public Health, and co-hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO). The 13th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (Safety 2018) was dedicated to prevention of injuries and violence as a major public health burden across the globe, gathering together over 1000 of the world’s leading researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and activists to share information and experiences and to discuss solutions.<\/p>\n
