We are saddened to inform you that our dear\u00a0professor, colleague and friend Prof. Ninko Kostovski, PhD passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, 22 May 2018.<\/p>\n
Prof. Ninko Kostovski, PhD was born on 26 November 1956 in Tetovo. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degree at the Faculty of Economics at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. He holds a PhD degree in the field of Business and Economics\u00a0at the\u00a0Ss. Cyril and Methodius University’s\u00a0Institute of Economics. As an Alumni\u00a0of the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington, USA and the University of Wisconsin, USA, he obtained\u00a0Graduate certificates for Management and Finance.<\/p>\n
Prof. Ninko Kostovski, PhD was one of the first\u00a0professors in Macedonia who was part of the European Forum for Entrepreneurship Research (EFER) programme. As an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School, he was certified for implementation of the Participant-Centered Learning method in the teaching process. His career in the academic community began in the year of 2005, when he was elected as a\u00a0faculty member at the newly\u00a0established School of Business Economics and Management at the University American College Skopje, during\u00a0the session held on 26 December 2005. At the constitutive session of the Scientific Council of the School of Business Economics and Management on 13 January 2006, he was elected as the Head of the Management Department. In the period from 2006 to 2008, he served as Dean of the UACS School of Business Economics and Management.<\/p>\n
His fields of academic and research interest\u00a0include\u00a0management and entrepreneurship, competitiveness and industrial agglomeration, project management, management of information technology and information systems.\u00a0The large number of published scientific research papers and books witness his success in the academia.<\/p>\n
Our students had the opportunity to learn from a great person with a unique sense of humor and an inexhaustible source of knowledge. He managed to change the lives of his colleagues with his experience, knowledge and, above all, his charisma.<\/p>\n
The remains will be displayed\u00a0at the Chapel at the\u00a0City Cemetery in Butel on 24 May 2018 (Thursday), from 14:00\u00a0h to 15:00 h, while the burial will take place at 15:00 h.<\/p>\n
A\u00a0Memory Book for Prof. Ninko Kostovski, PhD will be open at the University (3rd floor).<\/p>\n
He will be deeply missed.<\/p>\n
